My Favorite Movie
I have favorite movies from both pinoy and american worlds. In hollywood, my choice of movies would be those comics turned into film and 3-d animated ones. Although the comic-films weren't completely loyal to the story, i found them very entertaining. Spiderman, X-men and Sin City are some of my picks. I love the way they designed and presented the character. Being the 'techie' i am, i'd say that their visual effects were very good. I'd like to give a two thumbs-up for Sin City, which was able to capture the RGB coloring scheme throughout the film. It was truly artistic.
In 3-d animated films, I really love Shrek and Happy Feet. I really liked the story and characters! Happy feet made me laugh even if i watched it alone. It actually made me want to have a penguin afterwards (hehe:)) Shrek also made me laaaaaaaaaaaugh! especially Donkey. (haha!)
In Pinoy world, my favorite film would be Ama, Ina, Anak and Got to Believe. Ok, before any major reactions, let me explain. The first one was a really touchin movie about an adopted child. The father was played by Edu Manzano, the Mom was Maricel Soriano and the child was Angelica Panganiban. It always made me cry everytime I watch it. For some reason, the acting was simply great. The way Angelica portrayed the child's desire for parental love was the best. Her innocence and emotions were complementing each other. Thus, whenever she'd cry, I felt like crying too!! I swear, I could finish a whole box of Kleenex tissue whenever i watch that film. The second one was a love story. No, I am NOT a fan of Rico Yan. I repeat, NOT A FAN OF RICO YAN. I liked it because of they way it portrayed the whole "falling in love" aspect. I clearly remember a scene of Rico Yan noticing Claudine Barretto while she pulls back her hair. RIGHT THEN AND THERE! hahaha! Wala lang, it was soo weird when Ms. Mac actually mentioned the film in class. I was actually ashamed to let anyone know that I liked the movie! (hehe! at least i'm not the only one!) haha!
